歌詞翻譯 | 百老匯音樂劇 Hamilton – My Shot

這首肯定是整齣音樂劇裡最經典的歌之一，Lin-Manuel Miranda 花了他的一整個 2009 年來寫這首歌，除了是 Hamilton 音樂劇中花最長時間寫的歌以外，也是第一幕裡比較長的歌曲，角色們的雄心壯志都在這首歌中被建立、傳達。

這首歌 (或是也可以說這整齣劇) 最重要的雙關就在這個 “shot” 一詞， shot 在英文中可以解釋為機會、一口杯的烈酒、或是槍擊，歌詞中常常會將這些意思交替使用，或同時利用這些意思玩文字遊戲表達雙關。
我私心覺得在音樂方面 shot 這個字的力道也非常足夠，替歌曲本身和 rap 部分都增添了很多力量和節奏感，情感上更能表現 Hamilton 勃發的雄心壯志，而於理這三個詞義也都是故事中非常重要的元素，不同含意之間的運行交織用的很聰明，這個字真的是選的很漂亮 >__<

茶壺、水壺是用來泡茶的，也能關聯到 1773 年的波士頓茶葉事件，在這個事件發生後，英國政府採取了一系列強硬措施，引發殖民地的連串反抗行動，並導致1775年美國獨立戰爭爆發。
而醞釀一個黑色的情節可以指前面 Laurens 提到的點子 (使用黑人軍隊)、和美國各種民族混雜被稱為文化大熔爐 (melting pot) 一事關聯、或是暗示此劇中多由有色人種演出白人歷史人物角色等。

終於翻完了! (淚) 這首翻超久哈哈 但真的是一邊翻一邊發現好多歌詞中設計巧妙的地方，礙於篇幅和閱讀性限制只能在這裡寫出其中一小小部分，但真的是很優秀，越翻越愛 Q__Q 已經在期待全部翻完後再整齣看一次了 yayaya
這首真的是單獨聽就很勵志激昂的歌! 其實老實說覺得 Lin-Manuel Miranda 的歌聲並不是走特別討喜的路線 (Miranda 抱歉，雖然你是我偶像但我還是要誠實 >_<)，歌曲單獨聽的時候剛開始有時候會有種 “嗯?” 的感覺 (好抽象哈哈哈)，但聽著聽著就很快會跟著故事進入狀態了! 整齣看的時候更是會被整個人帶走 (是要帶去哪)，然後看完就會跟我一樣開始單曲重播 ^__^ 而且很多首都值得單曲重播，大家一起來陪我入坑 ♡
