歌詞翻譯 | 百老匯音樂劇 Hamilton – The Schuyler Sisters

這首 Schuyler 三姊妹的出場介紹歌曲 The Schuyler Sisters 也是本劇的明星歌曲之一，兩大主要女性角色 Angelica 和 Eliza 都在這首曲子裡和她們的妹妹一起演唱，也讓觀眾有機會一窺三姊妹在 Hamilton 出現在她們生命之中以前的故事。

後話

這首歌在介紹三姊妹的同時也帶入了一點女權運動早期的故事。 Peggy 雖然在這首歌裡面只有唱一點點，但偷偷覺得唱這個版本 Peggy 的 Jasmine Cephas-Jones 唱得好好，尤其是那句 “It’s bad enough there’ll be violence on our shore” >__< 看完一整齣回來覺得這齣劇的歌詞安排真的很用心，這首歌乍聽之下雖然是三姊妹一起唱同一首歌，但卻把三個人各自的個性定得很好，奠定了後面角色會發展出的行為，也算是多少藏了一些對於後面發生的事的伏筆。
