Restaurants and Things to Do In Miami, FL

In today’s post, I’ll gather all the sightseeing spots and restaurants we’ve visited during our recent trip to Miami, along with some short introductions and my experience there. If you plan to visit Miami, I hope this post can serve you when planning your trip! Some of the spots that I found during my “research” but haven’t had a chance to go will also be listed at the end of this post for your reference. Please share your thoughts with me in the comment section below if you’ve been there! 🙂

Things to Do and Places to Visit in Miami

🛍️ Lincoln Road

Located in the center area of South Beach in Miami Beach, Lincoln Road is a well-known shopping area. It has restaurants, stores, and you can go for a walk by the beach from there within walking distance. Besides eating, drinking, and shopping, there’s the Museum of Illusions Miami around the same area that many will visit for taking interesting, interactive illusion pictures. It looked a bit small to us (unlike what we expected) so we didn’t go in, but you can give it a try if taking fun photos is your thing!

🛍️ Bal Harbour Mall

Bal Harbour Mall is another shopping district located in the north of Miami Beach. Unlike Lincoln Road’s outdoor shopping, this is in a shopping “mall” form. Remember to check the opening time of the stores that you’d like to shop in. Although Bal Harbour Mall usually opens until 10 pm, that’s mostly for restaurants only and the brands will have their own opening hours, which is usually closing way before 10 pm. (I arrived at 9 pm when all the stores were closed… Using my own experience as a kind reminder for you 🙂)

📍 Little Havana

Deeply influenced by Cuban culture, Little Havana is an area full of vibrant, colorful, and Latin vibes. The decoration of the stores really pops (like the cool ice cream sign in the picture below!). There are also a lot of big, painted rooster statues. We went to Domino Park where a lot of people were playing domino together, which made me feel a warm community vibe somehow.

📍 Downtown Miami

Downtown Miami is another must-go. You can go shopping there, just take a walk to breathe in this city full of skyscrapers, or go along the beach line. The special part is that there are some bridges designed for big ships to go through that can open up in the middle. Look around to see if you happen to meet one!

📍 Design District (designer stores, Dior café, Fendi café, etc.)

Design District is another place for shopping that has a lot of designer stores, Dior café, and Fendi café. But it’s not easy to find a parking spot here, you might need to park further away or find a valet.

🍽️ Kith Treats

This place can serve both shopping and eating needs. Popular brand Kith has a store in Miami. Besides shopping their own product line and the collaboration goods, there is Kith Treats that offers colorful ice cream which is a tasty dessert to your mouth and eyes.

The toppings wall in Kith Treats is so satisfying!
Instagram-worthy ice cream! Fun and pretty good to the taste, and has lots of different flavors for you to choose from.

Other Sightseeing spots in Miami

I didn’t get to visit these spots this time but they look interesting! Listing them here as a note for future trips.

📍 Wynwood Walls

Another must-go in Miami with a wall full of street arts. Amazing for photos!

📍 Vizcaya Museum & Gardens

Vizcaya Museum & Gardens was a private garden owned by a businessman. Now it’s open to the public. I heard that is huge and beautiful. You can book the ticket on their website.

📍 Zoo Miami

The biggest zoo in Florida. You can also book the ticket on their website before you go.

Miami Restaurants

I was planning to have the summary introduction for the restaurants listed here as well but each of them all deserves one full post after second thought… So please allow me to list only the names here for now. I’ll write a more detailed post with reviews and pictures for each of them and add the links here. Hopefully, it will be clearer and easier for you to reference if you’re planning your trip to Miami!
