這首 Lower the Flag 是因為 2019 年的代頓槍擊案 (Dayton shooting) 而寫， Bon Jovi 在事件發生的那天開始寫這首歌，在兩天內寫出了第一版草稿，然後持續的反覆修改，中間也一直無法決定一個合適的歌名，到了最後才終於將這首歌的歌名定為現在的 “Lower the Flag”。
