Restaurant Review | Salt Bae’s Nusr-Et Steakhouse in Miami, FL

Let’s visit another famous restaurant today! As a big city, Miami has a lot of great restaurants to offer. The one that we’re reviewing today is the trending Nusr-Et Steakhouse by Nusret Gökçe (also known as ”Salt Bae” 😉 ).

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

We booked a time when they just opened for the day. We sat and waited outside for a bit as we arrived early that day. At the very fort front of Nusr-Et Steakhouse, there is a sign of Salt Bae’s signature pose – so cute lol. You can choose to seat indoor or outdoor. I was fooled by the blue sky, green leaves, white clouds, a bit of breeze, and my anticipation of the meal, so romantically said to the waitress that we want to sit outdoors. But, all I can say is, do not underestimate the heat of noon in Miami 🙂 Fortunately, it’s shaded and we had a little gentle breeze that day so it was still comfortable.

As an oyster lover, we ordered some to start. Not too amazed (maybe get spoiled by other fantastic oysters in Miami, and they are known for steaks, after all) but they are still sweet and good!

We also got some coconut water to help ourselves survive the summer heat. And it’s presented in a coconut shell that has the logo on it! (Probably a good souvenir option?) Pretty cool!

For the sides, we got the mushrooms and asparagus. They taste so good! 👍 Mushrooms are not dry at all and have a really strong scent with sweetness. But the meat we ordered is full of fat so the taste buds will get a bit tiring when it goes with the strong-tasted mushrooms. Then it comes the refreshing asparagus to balance it out, which is so crispy and tender! As someone who loves sides more than steaks, these two sides are perfect choices!

Last but definitely not least, the steak! Although Salt Bae himself wasn’t there when we visited, the waiter still served the steak with a 120% effort to present the show! After the huge steak is placed on the table, he used a wild yet chilled attitude to remove the bone, cut, and spread out the meat, then ended it with the signature salt-sprinkling gesture 😀

After the “show”, we dug in right away, and the steak is really tasty!!! We ordered tomahawk (but not the luxurious version with gold foil lol). It contains more fat so it’s easier to get tired eating it especially on the hot summer days. But on the other hand, the meat is super juicy and it has multiple layers of scent to taste! The aroma of lean meat, fat, and the baked surface combined forms a rich flavor that I really enjoy! ♡♡♡

Though its price is on the higher end, the service (and shows) is on point and the food is really tasty. I’ll recommend you to try it if you have the opportunity and budget! Next time if I visit I’ll want to sit indoors 😂 and might try other types of steaks!
