My First Sephora Haul – 2020 Unboxing & Review

Finally put this Sephora haul together! I want to share with you what I bought in my very first Sephora order as well as the review after using them and procrastinating to finish this post for half a year. I’ve been enjoying watching and reading Sephora haul videos and blog posts and it’s finally my turn to share something back to the community! (*tears of joy*)

Also, here is my first ever unboxing video that goes with this post if you’d like to have a little more visual on the side (or if you love the sound of crunching paper… like me!).

This is a screenshot of everything I bought in my first Sephora order. Keep scrolling for my review on each of the items!

Kiehl’s – Ultra Facial Cream

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Back then when I made this purchase, I was still carefully placing an order for the standard 50 ml size. Later in the year when it came to that Black Friday sale, I happily bought two more in the largest size (125 ml). I really really like it and it has almost become a necessity to me!

The INKEY List – Caffeine Eye Cream

Rating: 3 out of 5.

To me, the biggest selling point of this product is its price. I ordered it with the mindset of it’s cheap enough that I’m ok even if it doesn’t work. It wasn’t very effective at first, but after using it for a while, it does reduce puffiness and fine lines for a little. (Or maybe that’s because my sleeping quality has improved?) I still think it works slightly, and it’s totally worth a try considering the low price point. So, three stars!

KVD Vegan Beauty – Dagger Tattoo Liner Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner

Rating: 4 out of 5.

KVD’s eyeliner has been on my watchlist for quite a while. But their most popular liquid eyeliner is actually the other one with a normal brush tip (Tattoo eyeliner). The one I bought is with an angled-cut tip, but it was on sale, so… (It seems like they’re not selling it anymore.) As someone who uses liquid eyeliner for the first time, I have to say this is really easy to use – smooth, barely smears, with a beautiful pigmented black, not to mention their signature long-lasting feature. The only reason I’m not giving it a 5-star is that next time I might try their classic tip one instead :-p

Caudalie Vinoperfect – Day Cream

It’s in my ordered items list but I don’t remember receiving it… So no review on this one yet.

IT Cosmetics – Confidence in a Cream Hydrating Moisturizer

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Haven’t really used it for a long period of time so I cannot speak for its effectiveness. I got this as a trial so I’ve only used it for a couple of days. But it feels pretty moisturizing to me. Comparing to Kiehl’s, this one has a lighter texture and a slight herbal scent, which I think is a comforting smell. As mentioned earlier, I’ve got my two large Kielhl’s facial cream so might not need this one in the short term lol. But would like to buy one and try it next time!

TOM FORD – Black Orchid Parfum

Rating: 4 out of 5.

I have to admit that I have a complicated feeling about this one. I don’t like its top note, it is too strong a musky, spicy scent to me. But after just a few minutes, that top note will drawback and reveal the slightly sweet note underneath it, becoming a scent that’s rich in its layers. Rough, confident, and relaxed on the outside; calm, graceful, and elegant on the inside. This later note makes me love this perfume despite the top note.

That’s all for my experience and review of my very first Sephora haul! Please leave a comment and share with me if there is anything that’s on your must-buy list! 🙂
