Coldplay 於 2005 年 6 月釋出的專輯 X&Y 中第八首歌曲 A Message 是一首情歌，它的歌詞和旋律都受 John Ireland 1664 年的 My Song Is Love Unknown 所啟發，這首作品也是 Chris Martin 最愛的聖歌。
大約在 Coldplay 錄製這張 X&Y 專輯的時候， Chris Martin 的岳父過世了，這首 A Message 也可能是寫給 Chris 的妻子 Gwyneth Paltrow 的歌，她當時因為父親過世而陷入情緒低潮。
